Overview

Momsify is a Shopify app that helps store owners display product prices with or without VAT (value-added tax) based on customer preferences. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a merchant.

Data We Access

Momsify accesses the following store data through the Shopify API, strictly to provide its core functionality:

• Shop configuration (store name, currency, locale)
• Product and variant prices

Momsify does not access or store customer personal information such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment details, or order history.

Data We Store

Momsify stores only one type of data on our servers: a Shopify session token used to authenticate API requests on your behalf. This token contains no personal customer information.

All merchant-configured data including VAT rules, rates, and app settings is stored directly within your Shopify store as metafields, not on our servers.

Storefront Scripts

Momsify injects JavaScript into your storefront to display VAT-inclusive or VAT-exclusive prices to shoppers. These scripts:

• Read product price data from the page to perform VAT calculations
• Do not collect, transmit, or store any customer personal information
• Do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is processed only by the following sub-processors to operate the service:

• Shopify Inc: platform, API, and billing provider
• Our hosting provider: servers that run the app backend

Uninstallation

When the app is uninstalled from your store:

• Your Shopify access token is immediately deleted from our servers
• All VAT rules, rates, and settings stored as Shopify metafields are automatically removed by Shopify

No residual data is retained after uninstallation.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your store
• Request correction or deletion of that data
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
